Because of our unique location at the nexus of several major research institutions—including the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, Wistar Institute, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and University of the Sciences Philadelphia—we offer our tenants the opportunity to draw from an immensely rich pool of trained workers, all within blocks of their offices. It also allows our tenants to easily participate in academic enrichment and other special programs at these institutions, and to generally be a part of the region’s largest community of researchers.

Also important to our tenants and their employees is that our research park is in the heart of a vibrant, walk-able, dynamic community. Filled with students, shops, restaurants and nightspots, University City is a vital, growing area that is attracting companies and residents from around the world. Some highlights:

  • Sansom Commons – a new, 300,00 square foot retail and hotel complex.
  • The Inn at Penn – a first-class, 260 room Hilton Hotel.
  • Hamilton Square – a deluxe retail and entertainment complex.
  • World Cafe Live – a  40,000 square foot eclectic music venue and restaurant.
  • World class restaurants.
  • Museums and galleries.
  • New residential apartments.
  • Convenient transportation.

As part of our effort to both serve the neighborhood and provide enrichment to our community of tenants and their employees, the Science Center also sponsors the Klein Art Gallery. Located within the Science Center community, the Klein serves two functions: first, to explore the nexus between art and science; and second, to serve as part of our community outreach efforts.
