Research Parks - Science Center

The Science Center offers well over two million square feet of office space in Philadelphia and Delaware, providing the space companies need to grow. The Association of University Research Parks selected University City Science Center as the outstanding research park of 2006.

University City Science Center

One of the oldest and larges urban research parks in the world, this 17-acre campus is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s University City, adjacent to the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, Wistar Institute, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and the University of the Sciences Philadelphia campuses. The Science Park is within walking distance of the 30th Street Amtrak and regional rail station, the SEPTA Trolley, Market-Frankford El, and the Schuylkill River Trail. SEPTA’s LUCY Loop provides a convenient way to travel to and from 30th Street Station, stopping in the heart of our campus. There are also ample parking facilities within the Science Center campus. The University City Science Center provides a collaborative environment with access to intellectual capital from nearby academic institutions and businesses for our nearly 100 companies employing over 7500 people.

Delaware Technology Park

This campus has evolved into a premier location for Delaware’s science-based biotechnology, advanced materials, and software companies. It attracts a broad range of clients—from start-ups to mature companies. Located in Newark near the University of Delaware’s main campus, the Delaware Technology Park also provides incubator space for high-tech and life science start-ups. A partnership between industry, academia and the State of Delaware, Delaware Technology Park is home to some of the most innovative start-up companies and research centers in the country.
